A rose is a rose is a rose, until of course, it is reimagined by Varaluz. Inspired by a drawing that appeared in the Japanese design magazine, Shin-Bijutsukai (New Oceans of Art), Ethereal Rose marries swirling lines of varying thicknesses and irregular curves with a mid-century metal work technique. At the center of each rose is a multi-faceted round optic quality crystal element. The hanging stems and secondary canopy complete the wispy design motif. A Havana Gold hand-painted multi-layered finish features a unique ombre that gets darker with additional antiquing around the crystal centers.

We handcraft light fixtures and furniture out of eco-friendly materials. Some people might find what we do a bit extreme…glass shades made of recycled bottles? Fixtures made of recycled steel? Sure thing. We are continually developing new ways of using recycled, reclaimed, natural, and sustainable materials into our fixtures. To us, it just makes sense. There is a bit too much waste in the world, and upcycling yields some pretty darn cool results. We take these responsible materials and craft fixtures the old-fashioned way with the very skilled hands of our artistic team in the Philippines.
